…probably not surprising to hear from me but i think there is little more depressing than the thought of using a chatbot as a therapist (or a coach, or a priest)…perhaps i like humans too much…continuously wondering what the world would look like if instead of replacing humans with automations for better capital results we invested in the betterment of eachother in the work towards a happier and safer society…
I suppose an interesting question though is would you feel as squeamish if the service provided to someone in dispair with nowhere else to turn to at say 3am was exactly word for word and tone for tone the same as the one provided by a human?
I do hate that we are in a world where so many suffer, but they do and I feel that with regulation and safeguards that these sorts of tech tools could help alleviate pressure...

…because it is a robot it is impossible for it to be word for word what a human woild say…hate to short story scifi it…but the depressing stuff is we are offlining our humanity for convenience and profit…that’s depressing…
