You’re absolutely right. Sometimes the best thing we can do is go with the direction we’re being pulled instead of fighting it. The harder you fight, the more it can pull you under. The real skill is knowing when it’s okay to go with it rather than push back.

The riptide analogy really works because it captures something we all fight against. When you're trying to fix every broken system, you're basically drowning from exhaustion before you even get close to shore. I've noticed the people who actually change things aren't the ones burning themselves out on every battle, they're the ones who picked their lane and stayed in it. Your point about the body knowing really makes sense when you think about how much energy we waste on fights that never felt like ours to begin with.
